Fall Semester 2011 - Back To School

Well, I've had a wonderfully relaxing summer break from school - now it's back to reality.  I will be taking Auto CAD for Interior Design along with Design Studio III this semester and I hope to have some really great looking projects once it's over.  Hoping to post pics soon of some of my previous work at school and personal projects.

All About Me

I have created this blog as a way to get inside my own mind about what REALLY is important to me.  Love, life, family and home are all things dear to my heart.    I'm hoping just getting my thoughts put into writing will help me to organize my priorities and focus myself on what I need to be doing.  I've included some of my Interior Design projects from school this past year as well. 

I have always been a creative person I suppose.  From an early age, I was drawing, sketching, and painting, etc.  I have taken some art classes in college including photography, and sketching.  I am now a student of Interior Design and have about a year left until I graduate.  I hope to showcase some of my work here and also show things that inspire me in my own designs.

I love beautiful and elegant interiors.  Balance and Symmetry are very important in my designs.  I've learned that color can be used  in many ways and that each person will react to color differently.  It can be very personal.  In my own home, I have toned down the color (red walls) into more neutral and soothing tones.  I've noticed my stress level has been reduced dramatically.  However, I think designers can be more bold with fabrics and window treatments.
